We believe that God designed the home to be everyone’s primary place of spiritual growth. Both marriage and parenting should be producing children of God. Our faith should be practiced in our everyday lives, especially in our families. That is why Home Life strives to preserve and strengthen marriages and families by helping couples discover and follow God’s plan for life, marriage and family.

Marriage

“God, not you, made marriage. His Spirit inhabits even the smallest details of marriage. And what does he want from marriage? Children of God, that’s what. So guard the spirit of marriage within you.”
Malachi 2:15-16 (Message)

God made marriage to draw us closer to Him; to make us more like Christ. It is the bedrock of the family and a cornerstone of the church. Christ uses the marriage relationship to explain His relationship with us, His Church.

No matter what stage you are at in your relationship, be it dating, engaged, on solid ground or on shaky ground, we are here to minister to you. We want to support what God has brought together. “So they are no longer two, but one. Therefore what God has joined together, let man not separate.” Matthew 19:6

Parenting

“[Parents], do not exasperate your children; instead bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.”
Ephesians 6:4 (NIV)

Being a parent is a great responsibility and one of the highest callings of stewardship. Not only do we try to raise our children to be successful, responsible adults but we want to raise them to be lifelong Christ followers. We are commanded to ‘bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.’ That requires showing them by how we live our lives but also talking with them about Godly character and a love for Christ.
