We understand the loss of a loved one is very stressful regardless of whether the death is expected in the case of a long-term illness or sudden in the case of an accident.
As a church family, we hope to relieve some of that stress by coming alongside you and providing guidance and assistance during this difficult time. Chandler Christian Church has pastors and/or facilities available for services.
Types of services/visitation available:
- Visitation at mortuary or church day before service (with open or closed casket)
- Funeral at mortuary or church (with open or closed casket)
- Visitation at mortuary or church one hour prior to funeral service (with open or closed casket)
- Memorial service at mortuary or church (no casket/urn present)
- Memorial service at cemetery
Scheduling of service:
Chandler Christian Church is not available for services on Saturdays after 2 p.m. or Sundays due to our regular worship services. With this in mind, every effort will be made to accommodate the family’s wishes as to date and time for services.
Financial considerations:
In addition to the cost of the casket or cremation costs and the burial site (if any), the mortuary will charge a fee for the use of their chapel for visitation (approximately $200) and service (approximately $300), limousine service, preparation of memorial brochure (approximately $40), certified copies of death certificate (approximately $6 per copy), placement of obituary in newspaper (approximately $60) and guest book (approximately $20). If the individual is a veteran, the mortuary will provide a U.S. flag.
Floral arrangements at the service are an additional expense paid by the family. There are several florists with whom we work closely. When we meet to discuss arrangements, we can offer their information.
