Last year we prepared 570,000 meals for Haiti and Africa. This year we are planning to do it again but even larger to send 855,000 meals! We plan to prepare meals for Haiti, Cambodia, and Kenya! It will take more volunteers and donations. In this hands-on service project for all ages, we’ll literally feed tens of thousands of people in areas where starvation and malnutrition are rampant. Every $1 given helps feed a family of 6. Please give of your time, talent, and treasures to make a difference on 3 continents!

We are partnering with Lifeline Christian Ministries for this event, which benefits Haitian Christian Ministries and Warm Blankets, International.
Did You Know?
The food we will package is a specially formulated, fast cooking rice based combination of vitamins, soy, dehydrated vegetables and other nutrients that provide in one serving about 75% of a child’s daily requirement for a healthy diet.
Approximately 300 meals can be packaged in 2 hours per participant.
A full container contains almost 300,000 meals, which is 1320 boxes of food.
Approximately 70% of Haiti’s population is undernourished to some degree with infants and children suffering most. In more than a dozen African countries the rate of undernourishment is more than 40 percent, exceeding 50 percent in those countries experiencing or emerging from armed conflict.

We won’t be able to make our shift on Saturday at 10 AM due to a family issue. We were so looking forward to it as we so enjoyed the whole experience last year. We apologize for this cancellation.
It has been such a blessing to help out with Project 285+ I found myself wanting to stay and do more.
